Classic Eglu set up in Dorchester, Dorset
88 Monmouth RoadAbout this listing
Hi, I’m Ellie. I’ve been keeping chickens for 10 years and previously ducks. We have a big garden and a spare Eglu classic coop and run so your chickens can be kept separate from our own flock. We can fence an area if you’d like them to be more free range but not mix with ours.
We have our own three bantams and a couple of Silkies; Little Red and Goldilocks who free range during the day and love dust bathing in the garden. We can’t wait to meet your feathered friends.
Cleaning practices
You can decide if you want your chickens to stay in the run whilst they’re with us or if you’re happy for them to go out into a fenced area at times when we’re around to watch them. The Eglu will be dismantled and thoroughly cleaned between guests. It will also be regularly cleaned out whilst your friends are with us. Depending how long your chickens are staying we can move the run onto fresh grass. You are welcome to supply your own food or we have a stock of corn and layers pellets.Details

Hosted by Ellie
Part time primary school teacher who blames hatching eggs in the classroom over 20 years ago for the succession of back garden poultry that followed. We’ve previously had ducks but now keep bantams and a couple of silkies. I have a teenage daughter who takes fantastic care of them with me overseeing.
